Meta, which releases frequent updates for WhatsApp, seems to have focused on the desktop app lately. A new tool has been added to the desktop version of the popular messaging app that will allow photos to be censored before they are sent to the other party.
According to the information on the WABetaInfo portal, the photo blur feature has been included in WhatsApp Desktop beta version 2.2241.2. The tool will allow users to blur the desired parts of the photo before sending it.
There are two blur effects
Judging by the screenshots, WhatsApp will offer two blur effects that hide some details in photos. One of them is more pixelated. You will also be able to choose the blur size so you can apply the effect with precision.
The new feature seems to be in the testing phase for now. Even among those who use the latest beta version of the app, there are those who have not yet received the blur tool. However, the company is expected to make this feature accessible to more users in the coming days.
