Tesla Semi’s Annual Production Target Announced

Electric car manufacturer Tesla recently made statements about the electric truck model Semi, which has been eagerly awaited for many years. The CEO of the company, Musk, stated that the first samples will be delivered as of December 1. Now, more detailed information about the vehicle has come from the CEO.

Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk, made some statements about the highly anticipated Tesla Semi during the 3rd quarter earnings talks that took place recently. During these statements, Musk stated that the vehicle has time to increase production, but they have an annual target of 50,000 units for 2024.

At the moment, we can say that the vehicle entered early production. Most likely the vehicle is manufactured in Reno, Nevada. Although the target of 50,000 units is North America, they want to offer this vehicle in other markets as well. This may mean that a truck factory will be established in Europe or Asia in the future.

At the moment, deliveries of the version of the vehicle, which can produce a range of 800 km and lift a total weight of 37,195 kg, will begin. A version that offers a range of 483 kilometers will be added to the options in the coming days.

Although the company did not disclose the consumption data of the vehicle, we expect it to be less than 1.24 kWh/km on average. This shows us that the battery pack will be under 1,000 kWh (1 MWh). According to Elon Musk, 2170 type battery cells will be used in the first examples.

With the production of trucks, the company will qualify to be among the largest truck manufacturers in the USA. You can find the details of the Tesla Semi below:
