Coal Production In China Does Not Slow Down

He reported that coal production in China in the January-September period increased by 11.2 percent year on year to 3.32 billion tons. Coal production in China increased in the first 9 months of 2022 compared to the same period last year.

According to the news of Xinhua, the National Bureau of Statistics reported that coal production in the January-September period reached 3.32 billion tons, an annual increase of 11.2 percent. It is observed that coal production has increased this year in the country where electricity shortages were experienced due to the decrease in coal supply last year.

While the average daily coal production reached 12 million 890 thousand tons in September, it exceeded the high level recorded in November last year. Daily production reached 12 million 50 thousand tons on November 10, 2021, the highest level ever recorded. While 977.91 million tons of coal was produced in the first 9 months in Shanxi, the country’s largest production center, the output amount increased by 10.5 percent compared to the previous year. Coal-fired power plants in the state provided 105.35 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity to other regions, up 14.6 percent year on year.
