EPBL: Associate Technician, Quality Inspection

Associate Technician, Quality Inspection duties include but not limited to:

  • Provides technical expertise in support of the Quality program, implementing a range of quality assurance techniques including specialized inspection, quality training, statistical methods, audits, quality tools for problem solving and assessment.
  • Creates inspection reports stating the conditions of a work area to ensure requirements are met.
  • Makes recommendations for corrective action.
  • Applies knowledge of quality systems and tools to validate and verify contractually required standards for project execution.
  • Implements principles of performance evaluation and prediction methods are used to improve product systems safety, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Responsible for maintaining quality standard of products and the procedures and materials that go into work scope.
  • Aligns quality management function with the performance needs of product lines.
  • Under supervision, develops skills and knowledge to determine degree of conformance of products to deliver consistent products to customers.
  • Performs inspection of various operations activities; Generates reports of conditions found during inspection activities. *Notifies quality management of significant problems.
  • Assists in documentation to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection or test activities.
  • Monitor all depot/or warehouse activities for safety and zero harm compliance Exercise stop work authority for any unsafe activity witnessed
  • Attend and participate in all Tier meetings invited to at the depot or warehouse Must walk the floor continuously throughout the work day to ensure workers are following safety procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Team player who enjoy working with others to solve problems and eliminate defects as a group, while still taking individual accountability for their work. Knowledge in using Microsoft tools : Excel (familiar with basic formulas) and Power Point
  • Knowledge using Maximo a plus
  • Knowledge with MRO/Impresa-Government System a plus
  • Good at Multi-tasking, with good communication skills
  • Must be a self starter
  • Detail-oriented and excellent at following instructions.
  • Work Schedule 9/80 with every other Friday off
  • Other duties assigned

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN OGDEN, UTAH AT HILL AF BASE.  THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION.  NO PERDIEM, NO RELCOATION, NO UPLIFTS.
