The occupancy rate of natural gas storage facilities in Germany rose above 99 percent due to the warm weather. According to Gas Infrastructure Europe data, the occupancy rate of gas storage facilities in the country reached 99.57 percent as of November 11.
While the average temperature was recorded as 11.3 degrees on November 9 in Germany, the demand for natural gas decreased due to the air temperature being above seasonal normals. According to data from the German Gas Storage Initiative, there are 47 underground gas storage facilities in Germany operated by 25 companies. The total capacity of these facilities is approximately 23 billion cubic meters.
