Ford Will Produce Its Smallest Engine

American automaker Ford has announced that it will manufacture its smallest ever 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine, giving importance to the production of economical vehicles due to high oil prices. In a statement released by the giant manufacturer, Ford stated that it has expanded its product range in North America by adding a new three-cylinder and automatic eight-speed EcoBoost engine, which is its smallest engine ever, and noted that vehicles with this engine will be distributed all over the world, including North America.

In the statement, it was also stated that Ford’s new generation hybrid vehicles, which will be released next year and include a new rechargeable model, will be fitted with the transmission system produced at the factory in Michigan. Ford, which is trying to be the leader in economy cars in the USA, will launch 12 new vehicles with low fuel consumption, four of which consume a maximum of 5.88 liters of gasoline per 100 kilometers.

Known for large, fuel-hungry cars as well as truck-style vehicles, American manufacturers have been trying to build vehicles that will adapt to their customers’ changing needs since the economic crisis and increased regulations on CO2 emissions.
