USA partnered with Google for innovative chip designs. The new agreement will allow the production of open-source chips. While the chip supply problems in recent months continued to increase, the crisis experienced in the automotive sector also spread to consumer electronics.
Although many chip manufacturers have announced that they will make huge investments to solve supply problems, industry representatives say that the problem has not been resolved yet.
USA and Google agreed
The USA, which makes huge investments in chip production and wants to buy it back from the Asian market, has agreed with Google. While the new partnership is expected to eliminate issues such as restrictions and license fees, it will allow the production of open source chips. Within the scope of the new agreement to be carried out by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST); 40 different chip designs will be supported with Google for nanosensors, bioelectronics, artificial intelligence and quantum computing.
